Free beta terms

A careful beta,
with clear limits.

Effective: July 13, 2026

These terms govern your use of the free pre-release version of the omitt macOS app. By installing or using the beta, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install or use the beta.

1. Who provides the beta

The beta is provided by OLIVCO SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ, ul. Jana Szymczaka 1, LU 1, 01-227 Warszawa, Poland. KRS 0001218615, NIP 7011295646, REGON 543777308. Contact: hello@omitt.app.

2. The beta

omitt is a pre-release privacy utility for reviewing and redacting supported sensitive content before sharing. The beta is free. Features, supported formats, detection behavior, and availability may change while we test and improve the product.

3. Licence

OLIVCO, as provider and authorised licensor of the beta, grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the beta on devices you control for personal use or internal business evaluation. This licence does not transfer ownership of omitt or its materials.

You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, rent, or provide the beta as a hosted service. You may not bypass technical restrictions, use it unlawfully, or attempt to harm the app or its services. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.

4. Your responsibility

omitt can miss sensitive content or mark ordinary content. It is a review tool, not a guarantee of anonymity, confidentiality, privilege, security, or regulatory compliance. It does not provide legal, tax, compliance, or security advice.

5. Privacy

Detection and redaction run on your Mac. omitt does not upload documents, screenshots, clipboard content, or detection results. Optional feedback sends only the category, message, app version, and reply email you choose to provide after pressing Send. Details are in the Privacy Notice.

6. Updates and availability

We may update, suspend, or end the beta, including to address security, reliability, legal, or technical issues. We may remove access where these terms are violated or continued use creates a material risk. You may stop using the beta at any time by deleting it.

7. Ownership and feedback

omitt, its code, design, name, and documentation belong to OLIVCO or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You keep ownership of feedback you submit. You give OLIVCO permission to use that feedback to test, support, and improve omitt without identifying you publicly.

8. Beta warranty

The beta is provided for testing in its current pre-release state. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file, or detection of every sensitive item. Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OLIVCO is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the free beta, including loss caused by an unchecked or incomplete redaction. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct, and it does not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

10. Law and disputes

Polish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections and courts available to you under the law of your country of residence. Otherwise, disputes are handled by the courts competent under Polish law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the beta changes. We will publish the updated date and give reasonable notice of material changes before they apply to continued beta use.
